As part of the commercial team, the principle function of the ADTS is to provide a world class Technical Service for all ColorMatrix/Avient customers in the France, Luxembourg and North Africa. Each region within the EMEA area operates a ‘sales cell’ structure where a Regional Account Manager, ADTS Engineer and Customer Service Sales Support Representative work together to deliver the overall regional sales budget.
The ADTS Engineer is mainly responsible for; converting new customers to ColorMatrix/Avient metering systems and products, conducting new product and equipment trials (internal and external), attending customer sites for maintenance visits, technical and commercial meetings, problem solving, training, refurbishing equipment and managing complaints as required.
The role is home office based with between 60-80% travel to customer sites. This will include customers located in France, Luxembourg and North Africa. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is keen to learn and develop both their technical and commercial skills. On the job as well as internal and external training is given as part of the growth and development of the successful candidate. The role comes with a company car, mobile phone, laptop and a generous package based around skill level and experience.
WHERE YOUR EXPERTISE IS NEEDED
Participation in the development of:
New customers, new products/applications and new equipment lines
On-site technical service/support including:
Manage product trials, equipment audits/maintenance, customer stock control support, safety analysis, data analysis, customer training, process optimization and complain management
Remote support including:
Project planning, trial planning/preparation, technical support – email, telephone, WebEx, communication of all customer interactions (Internal written technical reports). project planning for high value sales opportunities and management and resolution of customer complaints/technical issues
Commercial management of allocated customers within the sales region including:
Arranging specific product samples, preparation of a written product trial plan, selection of the correct equipment items for the specific application, efficient planning of travel and work schedule, attendance and input at weekly ‘cell’ meeting and implementation of subsequent actions
First point of contact for customer quality issues and recommendations on the next steps to the ‘cell’
Demonstrating ColorMatrix/Avient values on-site with customers
Continuous learning of product knowledge and liquid systems
Education of customers on ColorMatrix/Avient products and their benefits
Completion of Technical reports with customer sign off
Manages successful resolution of customer complaints/issues.
Approach the sales process with a high degree of professionalism and effectiveness by successful utilization of customer centric selling skills and tools, prospecting & new account calls, development of a robust sales funnel, avoidance of bad debts, cross selling, and effective CRM system management
Understand key players, applications, requirements, trends, and needs as well as Avient’s potential and share within the targeted industry. Become an industry and product expert to leverage successes across the industry
Coordinate closely with regional sales teams as well as collaborating with the technical area as necessary to accelerate and drive profitable growth through solutions selling to targeted accounts.
Monitor the competition to better understand issues and threats and develop plans to eliminate barriers.
Implement Avient’s, pricing and market strategies as well as business practices. Negotiate customer contracts and value packages to insure an acceptable return on Avient resources invested.
Participate in strategy development, help position the business and develop the offer. Assist in defining the target markets, and commercial strategy.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Minimum of five years direct relevant work experience
Ability to operate independently
Fluent French and English (written and spoken), Arabic is preferred, but not required.
Good interpersonal skills
Flexible and willing to travel
All necessary training will be given.
