Your responsibilities as Certification Engineer
As our colleague, you will be responsible for a smooth certification process across the offshore wind farm assets together within our team of certification engineers.
The following tasks will be a central part of your new job:
Keep the certification scope and strategy updated in response to changes in the regulatory environment, ensuring that the company adheres to all relevant industry standards and guidelines.
Steer tasks and activities across asset management, consenting, operations, and engineering, emphasizing cost, quality, and risk management to ensure alignment with certification objectives.
Ensure timely reporting to authorities, actively follow up on requirements, and oversee the closure of conditions. Actively participate in authority meetings and stakeholder associations to stay informed and contribute to industry discussions.
Lead technical and commercial negotiations with appointed inspectors, certification bodies, and service providers. Embed certification requirements within commercial agreements and contracts, ensuring delivery according to established standards.
Collaborate with Certification Engineers across wind projects to harmonize working methods, share best practices, and contribute to the continuous improvement of procedures and tools within the Certification Team, aligning with the BA Wind quality management system.
Your profile as an certification engineer
You have a positive mindset combined with a drive to deliver quality work with a programmatic approach. You’re a technical, allrounder and open-minded team player with a structured way of working capable of maintaining the helicopter perspective and be efficient in your communication. For you, it comes natural to show initiative and add value by maturing and standardizing our work depending on projects and organizational needs. Further, you possess good interpersonal skills and communicate technical sensitive topics in a clear and constructive way both internally and to external partners.
The following experience and skills are required
Degree in engineering or similar.
Relevant working experience in the wind industry or similar beneficial.
Knowledgeable about working with industry standards, guidelines, and processes.
First experience in technical project management.
Motivated to work in a multinational project team and the ability to build up strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Fluent in English, Danish and/or German language skills preferred.
The location of the position is either London, Amsterdam, Kolding or Hamburg. Occasional travel within northern Europe should be expected.
