If yes ,we are now looking for an Equipment Engineer, to join our team at the Hull plant.
As an Equipment Engineer, you will be working with the introduction of new and the improvement of existing equipment within wind turbine, blade manufacturing.
You will be supporting the factory in everyday production and ensuring standardized production across the factory through equipment, documentation, and support.
You will be developing equipment and processes for our new projects, using data to optimize equipment uptime and safe usage. The role will work closely with our maintenance department in complex fault finding and then designing engineering solutions to eradicate issues, collaborating with our global teams, based in Denmark and other factories to share knowledge on equipment related to blade manufacturing.
Some of your key tasks will include but not be limited to:
Your focus areas will be to develop the right solutions for process-based equipment in blade manufacturing. This will be to:
Create and review specifications for new equipment
Supporting Factory/Site acceptance, commissioning/implementation of new equipment
Engaging and supporting the maintenance dept in achieving equipment uptime targets
Upgrading existing equipment to ensure safe and optimal performance
Ensuring Best Practice sharing across shifts and factories, globally
Responsible for tooling/equipment/services introduction and upgrades across the factory
Collaborating with global functions, suppliers, and contractors and with other internal departments e.g. Operations, maintenance, Procurement and Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) departments
Anticipating issues with implementation and provide timely feedback and information to employees as appropriate
Using data to create necessary reports to communicate to peers and management

Focus on health and safety is essential
Ideally, Degree qualified in Mechanical/Electrical engineering or Higher National Diploma (HND) with significant experience
Experience directly related in designing and improving equipment in a manufacturing environment
You need to have an experience in working in production environments
Strong knowledge in MS Office Suite, including Excel, and PowerPoint
Programmable Logic Controller (PLC)/Drive experience preferred
An understanding or experience of Lean Manufacturing processes.
Experience of creating work instructions, risk assessments and technical documentation
Good team player with excellent communication skills
