Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree or equivalent with a minimum of 7 years of experience in drilling fluids, cementing and waste management engineering.
You have recognized engineering skills and work experience in operational entities and/or on rig sites.
You demonstrate an in depth understanding of the need for a sustainable approach of our specialty and drilling/completion operations as a whole
You speak fluent English. French is a plus.
We are currently seeking a Senior Fluids, Cement and Waste Management Engineer to join our team based in TotalEnergies technical hub in Pau, France. It is a residential position within Drilling & Wells discipline with potential missions worldwide.
In this role, you will engage with various specialties and collaborate cross-functionally with entities such as Subsidiaries, Customer Lines, Projects, and Business Lines.
As a Senior Fluids and Cement Engineer, you are expected to:
Have good knowledge of Deep Water, Conventional Offshore and Onshore drilling activities
Provide high-quality technical assistance through cross-functional collaboration to client entities during calls for tenders, studies or construction of “complex” wells (Exploration, High Pressure/High Temperature, Extended Reach Drilling)
Contribute to R&D projects and maintain a state-of-the-art technology watch and keep up-to-date with the latest drilling fluids & cement innovations to disseminate information across your network
Focus on delivering efficient technical proposals, maintaining a high level of expertise while enhancing the sustainable approach of our specialty.
Ensure compliance with TotalEnergies HSE rules and standards.
Your main missions will be to:
Perform drilling & completion fluid, cementing and waste management studies for client entities (customer lines, subsidiaries, projects…)
Analyze the needs and requests of the entity, structure the scope of the study and propose specifications and cost estimate
Conduct the study in interaction with the requesting entity (study reports, recommendations, etc.) and other specialties in transverse mode
Prepare, submit, and evaluate Call For Tenders for drilling campaigns in collaboration with a contract engineer
Review preparation and control progress of sensitive fluids and cements
Contribute within to the definition and application of standards, rules and know-how
Participate in the development, writing, updating and document management of the technical referential
Monitor and disseminate technologies and innovations
Contribute to R&D projects aimed at developing engineering tools as well as more efficient drilling fluids and cementing concepts
