About the role:
As Junior Operations Engineer, you will be part of the Operations Team, the delivery heart of our company. We are currently setting up our first assembly line to assemble the new generation of Battolyser stacks. This will be a crucial step towards achieving our mission of enabling ‘Always Clean Energy’. Your role will be to play a pivotal role between R&D and operations by managing the assembly and disassembly of prototypes and test set-ups. Your lessons learned and good practices will be translated to the design and the work instruction to deliver our final product and beating heart of our Battolyser system, the stacks.
Initially, your main responsibilities will be:
Organize and supervise all the assembly and disassembly steps of test- and demonstration stacks for the R&D department
Operate as liaison between Operations and R&D, align planning and activities
Manage the configuration of the various assemblies, including record keeping of abnormalities and assembly parameters
Validate and feedback lessons learned from the assembly processes, incorporate good practices in work instructions and QC to safeguard the continuous improvement cycle.
Facilitate the flow of lessons learned to the research- and design teams
Organize the equipment and develop, test and improve specific tooling for assembly and testing
Ensure a safe working environment for all people involved
Participate in project teams and contribute to the operations team
Basic incoming goods inspection and warehouse organization
You are a spider in the web, overseeing multiple projects in several phases with cross-functional stakeholders (both internal and external). You can handle projects with a large number of uncertainties, and you are able to keep all the balls in the air. You can communicate across a range of stakeholders from designers, researchers and technical teams, you are eager to learn and keen to deliver. You don’t shy away from rolling up your sleeves and assist on the work floor to get a job done. In order to be successful in this role, you will have a Bsc in (mechanical) engineering and 2 years of relevant experience or a MSc with an eagerness to learn.
