The Industrial Engineering division is currently looking for a Process Engineer, to act as technical specialist, team lead and design professional. We’re seeking an enthusiastic team member for delivering engineering services in the renewable energies markets.
Location – Mount Pearl, NF
Your role within the team:
To perform this role successfully, the individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
Leading process design efforts on international projects.
Consult clients, advise, identify, and solve process related issues.
Conceptual, Basic and Detailed design of renewable energies manufacturing processes.
Participate in business development activities, through client networking, participation in industry events (ISPE, PDA, LSO…), and preparing white papers.
Develop Process Architecture at early project stages.
Understanding of process requirements to support the appropriate development of architectural layouts.
Leading client and supplier workshops and meetings.
Calculations required to size equipment and identify requirements for manufacturing equipment and utilities.
Writing documentation to create specifications and tender documents.
Preparing technical reports.
Producing block flow diagrams, PFDs, P&IDs, plan drawings and heat and material balances.
Working knowledge of cGMPs.
Support commissioning of process and mechanical systems and participating in FATs and SATs.
Troubleshooting equipment and process issues.
Participating and contributing to equipment 3D model reviews, piping design reviews and building plan layout reviews.
Leading a multi-disciplinary project team.
Mentoring junior engineers.

The ideal candidate:
Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering or mechanical Engineering. Masters in a connected field is an asset.
Minimum 15-years related consulting design experience in battery manufacturing is preferred.
Licensed by a Professional Engineering Association (in Canada) is required. Member of Professional Engineers.
Advanced knowledge of regulated environments (US, Europe, and Asia) is an asset.
Producing process simulation models. (SuperPro, SchedulePro).
Ability to travel (~25%).
CFD simulation would be asset.
AutoCAD experience would be an asset.
Autonomous and organized.
Ability to thrive in a teamwork environment.
