About the Job
As a Product Development Engineer Bio-Process Technology you will contribute to define the strategy of the development team and you are responsible for proposing, shaping and executing the development projects of the low carbon process technologies relevant for T.EN. You will contribute to define and adapt the roadmap for the technology development relevant for (bio) conversion of renewable and circular feedstock to fuels and chemicals.

We are currently seeking a Product Development Engineer Bio-Process Technology, reporting directly to department Head of Product Development to join the team based in Zoetermeer (the Netherlands).
The job requires a solid background in bio-process technologies and knowledge on topics such as energy and industrial processes. In addition the role requires strong collaborative work with other technology experts in the department and across the Technology and Innovation (T&I) organization of T.EN. As a team player you will benefit from an environment in which discussions with process technology experts will help you focusing on the most valuable developments. You will propose, define, plan, supervise/engage research and development projects to meet the objectives of the T&I roadmap.
Your main missions and responsibilities will be to:
Identify and evaluate benefit of new development for enabling low carbon process technologies licensing and engineering support. Align with the roadmaps developed by industry in the field of biofuels, bio-chemicals and circularity.
Define research and development programs to demonstrate and commercialize these new developments and technologies,
Supervise/engage research and development project to meet objectives of the T&I roadmap.
Find and develop partnership with early adopters and identified technology partners/providers
Follow up with sales/proposal team and identify opportunities for introducing new products.
Early strategy definition for proposal
Frequent sales/proposal review meeting
Prepare technical publications to present Technip Energies’ technical know-how to the world
Align with technology development roadmaps in the Development team
Daily discussion with Product Development Manager to understand needs in product, productization strategy
Articulate value proposition / benefit case of each “new product”
Propose improvements to increase product competitiveness

Education: Master of Science (Process, technology, material)
Experience: Five to ten (5-10) years of experience in process technology engineering or as a technologist, or experience with technology development.
Background knowledge of bioprocesses and biotechnologies is desired.
Languages: Indicate a secondary language and proficiency expected level, only if English is insufficient to perform the job
