Your role within the team
As a member of our Transmission, Distribution and Renewables team, you will:
Developing and integrating SCADA, PLC, and HMI solutions for our clients;
Support the Project Manager with fulfilling the needs of our clients by providing timely, precise, appropriate, and thorough service;
Automation and SCADA designs from conceptual to implementation stage for Transmission, Distribution and Generating stations;
Preparation of SCADA and control system architecture, designs and integration of various technologies;
Design and integrate ethernet, serial data networks, and preparation of panel layouts, schematics, and diagrams;
Programming of automation, HMI, PLC, IEDs, ION meters, RTU devices, lab-testing and commissioning of devices and SCADA network on site;
Perform site visits, commissioning support and represent the Company at project design and construction meetings and work collaboratively with other team members to deliver projects;
Perform design work in accordance with the Canadian Electrical Code and client’s standards.

The ideal candidate
Holds a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent;
Is registered with EGBC or eligible for registration;
Has at least 3 years of relevant experience and knowledge of electricity, electronics, IT, and computers;
Has previous design work experience in T&D and or Generation sector is an asset;
Is familiar with the SCADA and Automation systems/equipment including the following: SEL Automation Controllers (RTAC, DPAC, Gateway), SEL Applications (AcSELerator RTAC, QuickSet, Diagram Builder), GE RTUs: D25/D20/D400 and I/O Modules, GE Applications: ConfigPro and SGConfig, Schneider PLCs; Modicon, Proface HMI & GP-Pro EX Application, ASAT DAPStudio HMI Application, and Survalent HMI Application;
Is familiar with Industrial Communication Protocols and Standards, including: DNP3, MODBUS, IEC 61850, 61131-3, NERC-CIP;
Is familiarity with typical electrical designs for power system, Protection & Control, PLCs, communications, networking and IT is an asset;
Has experience with AutoCAD and knowledge and application of the Canadian electrical code is an asset;
Must be willing to learn new technologies and programming of devices;
Fluent in English with excellent written and oral communication.
