As a Manager – Power Systems you will be part of L&T PT&D Digital Energy Solutions’ Digital Grid Energy Services team. You will support the business by implementing business strategies and execution of multiple power system simulation studies for customers. Support the Leader to identify new business opportunities and growth potentials in the power system engineering and simulation services.
The role is required to lead a team of young engineers and carry out system studies for projects from customers in US, Middle East, Africia, and in India with major emphasis on US projects. The role also requires estimation of efforts and technical offer preparation to support regional growth leaders to win orders. L&T is looking for individuals with a good mix of technical expertise and commercial acumen to to achieve business plans, through high-impact and high-quality measurable results.
The candidate must have strong technical skills with experience in energy & power industry. In this role you will:
Lead & guide team members to carry out system studies for multiple projects in parallel, while also working directly in one or more projects as required.
Responsible for the on-time delivery, compliance, and successful project execution
Direct point of contact with customers and partners for assigned projects.
Support manager and sales teams for new business potentials within the power system simulation services domain.
Drive project milestones, plans, schedules, models, necessary resources, etc.
Support process and tool creation
Applies continuous improvement and lean methodologies.
Always act in the best interest of the company
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, And Experience:
Bachelor/Master’s/PhD degree in electrical engineering with emphasis on power system analysis and controls
5+ years of experience in conducting a wide variety of power system modeling studies in transmission and distribution systems.
Good written and oral skills, very proficient in written and oral communication, regularly communicate complex information and interact with the team.
Experience in preparing T&D power system models for renewable integration, grid compliance studies
Clear understanding of the operational planning philosophies of integrating DERs within T&D.
Knowledge of the practical and regulatory requirements associated with implementation of various DER technologies within T&D.
Conducting power system simulation studies using software tools namely PSS/E, PSCAD, ETAP.
Excellent Experience in using PSS/E is a must in carrying out load flow as well as dynamic studies. Knowledge of UDM creation will be an added advantage, Hands on experience in using PSCAD & ETAP is also an added advantage.
Experience with programming languages: Python C++, Matlab, etc.

Domain knowledge and experience in conducting advanced power system studies for Energy Storage Systems, Microgrids and Electric Vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure.
