Under general supervision, This Transmission lines Engineer will perform engineering functions requiring knowledge and limited experience in engineering principles. This role is familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field and continues to develop technical expertise through applied practice. This role also has entry-level involvement in change management / improvement initiatives, task management and client-facing interactions.
Scoping of Transmission Line Projects
Design of Transmission Lines in PLS Cadd
Produce load sheets and drawings for custom steel poles.
Design foundations using MFAD.
Complete material list for transmission line projects.
Assemble complete Issue for Construction specification books.
Coordinate directly with the client and with all other stakeholders throughout the life of the project such as project management, right of way, environmental, siting, station engineering, telecom, distribution, and construction under the supervision of a more experienced transmission line engineer.
Attends construction site visits as required.
