Business Area Wind is responsible for Vattenfall’s Onshore and Offshore Wind as well as other non-hydro Renewable activities like Solar and Batteries. Today we develop, construct and operate wind generation and solar and batteries installations in Sweden, Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands and the UK.
Vattenfall is now looking for the right person to fill the position as Service Lead of our Offshore Accommodation Platforms within DanTysk and Sandbank, located in the Sylt area 90 km off the coast of Esbjerg, Denmark. The Service Lead of OAP is responsible for operating the Offshore Accommodation Platforms as well as the non HV-MV Communication technology related parts of the OSS DanTysk and OSS Sandbank.
Your job as a Service Lead, Platforms
You will become an important and permanent part of our operations & maintenance-organization.
You will participate in operational & maintenance tasks on the Accommodation platform as well as the Offshore Substations.
You will be attached to the operational organization and you will work in job rotation on the platforms under a German working contract with a meeting point in Esbjerg, Denmark. Your tasks will include:
Responsibilities
- Be compliant with the Vattenfall Policies, Values, KPI´s and Authority standards and legislation
- Supervision and implementation of Vattenfall HSE standards
- In all aspects ensure efficient and safe planning/operation of work tasks
- Responsible for maintenance of mechanical and electrical components
- Responsible for supervision of associated work force, Vattenfall employees or contractors
- Be part of the helideck crew and emergency response team as required.
- Responsible for loading operations
- Supervision of contractors service personnel

Your profile as a Service Lead, Platforms
You will play a key role and will have a large personal interface in the organization. It is a requirement that you can work independently across levels and borders, and you have an understanding of culture differences and act accordingly. You have good communication skills and drive. You are persistent and motivated by completing your projects with the best possible result. When necessary, you are able to make quick decisions in difficult circumstances, while maintaining an obliging and service minded attitude. You are very flexible and can with ease adjust to changing circumstances, and you appreciate differences and understand how background, culture and group affiliation can affect oneself and others.
- You are an educated Marine Engineer or equivalent
- You have advanced IT-skills in general and preferable experience with SAP PM module.
- You have offshore experience or experience with another maritime function
- You have experience with the preparation, supervision and coordination of maintenance tasks, which are performed in an international and hectic environment with great focus on safety
- English language skills written and verbal, German language skills are desirable
- Willing to work in a shift pattern offshore and do additional training in offshift periods
- Readiness to take required offshore trainings according to GWO and
- Medical fitness according to AWMF as well as for ERT duties
