Renewable Energy Asset Management Intern

Consolidated Edison Development acquires, develops, builds, and operates wind and solar electric generation facilities across the U.S. The portfolio includes renewable energy generation (wind and solar assets) totaling 2,600 MW AC across 17 states.
The Asset Management team is responsible for overseeing various aspects of the renewable generation facilities during operation, including contractual compliance and administration, operational review and analysis, reporting, and general administration. Summer Internship Program
We offer a paid, 10-week Internship Program that provides students the opportunity to work with a diverse pool of talent in the Energy/Renewable industry.
Dates: June 7, 2021 through August 13, 2021
Length of Program: 10 weeks (40 hour work week)
Location: San Diego, CA
Responsibilities
Preferred Academic Discipline(s): Business, Environmental Science
Support the San Diego Asset Management team on optimizing the operational and commercial performance of our renewable energy portfolio.
- Support the Asset Management team in identifying new opportunities to enhance the operational and financial performance of utility scale solar projects in Con Edison Development’s West Coast portfolio.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly reporting associated with project finance loan compliance
- Budget reporting and analysis
- Assist in populating key informational aspects of renewable energy information management system (Bluepoint/3 Megawatt)
- Creative development of new informational content and digital signage for the Renewable Energy Performance Center video wall
Qualifications
- The student must be currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in Sophomore year or later, or graduate/Ph.D. program at an accredited institution
- Strong interest in the renewable energy industry
- Courses in energy/sustainability is a plus
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Adobe Pro, and Excel is highly desirable but not required
- Comfortable learning new technology
Preferred Candidates:
- Live within a commutable distance to the San Diego, CA office location
- Must provide proper work authorization
