Right now, we’re looking for an enthusiastic and experienced renewables / storage consultant to join our team. You’ll be part of our collaborative and growing team across the UK and will help with the development and delivery of a pipeline of exciting and complex projects.

So, what will you be responsible for?
We want you to help us develop our renewable energy and battery storage consultancy and project development.
A passion for sustainable design, innovative and low energy solutions is paramount, in addition to understanding the ever-evolving national and local legislative drivers.
Your key responsibilities will be to support in areas that include:
- Energy / storage options appraisals
- Renewable energy / storage design, modelling and implementation
- Battery storage development
- Wind and solar development
- EV charging strategy and development
- Capacity and resilience assessments
- Project management
- Life cycle cost modelling
- Financial modelling and revenue forecasting
- Planning support
- Technical, economic and environmental risk management
- Supporting the wider division on utilities/energy infrastructure, masterplanning and carbon management
To succeed in this role, you’ll need:
- Strong post-graduate experience in the engineering/energy industry, or perhaps an alternative design or energy modelling background with skills that could be applied to renewables sector
- A relevant engineering or science degree, BEng (Hons) or BSc (Hons) or equivalent/higher
- A passion for net zero, innovative and low carbon solutions is paramount
- Experience in the renewables sector
- Ability to work closely and collaboratively with other disciplines, including structural engineering, building services, acoustics, fire, utilities, transportation and geo-environmental
- A collaborative, enthusiastic and forward-thinking approach
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to undertake independent learning
- Excellent analytical skills
- Time management and organisational skills
We’re also keen to know if you can offer any of these attributes:
- Working knowledge of energy sector and regulatory framework
- Working knowledge of renewable energy / modelling techniques
- Knowledge of or technical ability in energy/renewables related disciplines
- Practical experience of delivering renewables/battery storage projects
- Experience of working for wind, solar or storage developers
- An ability to apply analytical skills across a range of scale, i.e. buildings, campuses, cities
- Experience in presenting analytical information in a clear and concise manner
- Knowledge of energy performance, environmental, legal and financial requirements
- Working knowledge of life cycle cost modelling and revenue forecasting
- Experience and working knowledge of the energy market, capacity and grid balancing, demand side response, connection agreements, market business models etc.
