Technical Compliance Manager

We’re looking for a Technical Compliance Manager to manage the day to day compliance of in-the-home installation service including continued compliance to MCS and NIC/EIC electrical standards as our Nominated technical person (NTP).We are looking for someone who will ensure quality and technical standards are met through regular auditing and quality control of installers and suppliers. This role reports into our Head of Energy Solutions.

Requirements

Responsibilities:

• You will provide technical and engineering support and guidance to our operational and customer service teams
• Be technical lead for MCS compliance, assuming role of Nominated technical person (NTP)
• Use Electrical engineering background to design electrical schematics for domestic installations
• Manage and deliver auditing and quality control process of external installer and surveyor network
• Seek continual improvement of installation delivery process, and initial design processes internally
• Support our Energy Solutions team to ensure product selection and systems are suitable for both internal operations teams and installers
• Act as technical expert for operational and customer service teams
• Work with our Training and Quality Manager to ensure business training needs for technical & installations are met.
• Ensure health and safety compliance is met, measured and monitored through installer network and scaffolders/ surveyors for Solar business
• Attend and support regular audits internally with Head of Energy Solutions, including annual MCS compliance audit

Candidate Profile:

• Basic IT skills (databases, MS Office etc)
• Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organisation, and third party suppliers and installers
• Strong belief in excellent customer service
• Ability to multi-task, prioritise, and manage time effectively
• Strong analytical and detail-oriented aptitude; a high degree of accuracy is required
• Must have BS7671 Electrical qualifications, ideally 18th edition
• Experienced in the design, installation and maintenance of microgeneration technologies
• An understanding of domestic heating and Gas would be an advantage
