At EDF Renewables UK and Ireland, our business is exciting, diverse and accessible to all.
We’re one of the UK and Ireland’s leading renewable energy companies, specialising in wind power, solar and battery storage technology. We have an operational portfolio of 36 wind farms – including two offshore wind farms – and one of the largest operational battery storage units in Europe. We develop, build, operate and maintain wind farms and other renewable technologies throughout their lifetime.
We recruit engineers, technicians and developers to design, build, maintain and manage the sites. Operation and maintenance specialists monitor and maintain our sites on a daily basis.
We’re offering a career that will deliver change. Join us and help Britain achieve Net Zero.
Our Wind Turbine Technician Opportunities
Wind power is a low carbon and plentiful source of energy that will never run out. And it’s a vital part of the energy mix – alongside nuclear and solar – to help Britain achieve Net Zero.
We’re involved in the operation and maintenance of all our sites. We monitor each plant continuously from our service centre and carry out regular inspections and maintenance checks to ensure each wind farm is operating at peak efficiency throughout its lifecycle (around 25 years).
Our wind farms benefit local communities throughout their lifetime. Support comes from creating new jobs and education and skills; boosting the local economy; developing the local infrastructure and environment; and providing direct community investment.
We’re looking for a safety-minded person with excellent analytical thinking. Our wind turbine opportunities require a strong sense of planning and organisation, with the ability to communicate and share technical knowledge.
Equally important is a genuine enjoyment and enthusiasm for working in the field. Knowledge of wind technologies would be an advantage, not essential, if you’re interested in transferring your existing skills.
We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, including a pension scheme, a wide range of flexible benefits to suit your lifestyle and the opportunity to earn bonus. Although these roles are advertised on a full-time basis as standard, flexible working arrangements can be discussed.
